When are the Women's Ashes?

The multi-format series runs from January 11 to February 2 in Australia, with three one-day internationals, as many T20 internationals and a one-off, four-day Test match - a day-nighter at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.

How does the points system work?

Teams earn two points for a victory in the white-ball matches or take a point apiece in the event of a washout or tie.

Four points are awarded to the winners of the Test match, with sides earning two points each with a draw or tie.

Who holds the Women's Ashes?

Australia do. which means a series draw - which is the worst the Southern Stars can now secure - has seen the home side retain the trophy.
